Dear Members, Thank you all for your patience while we work through a very high volume of emails, calls, and texts. We understand the frustration everyone is experiencing waiting for the implementation of the general wage increase and the classification and compensation pay grade adjustments. We will continue to stay in communication with People & Culture and Payroll who have assured us that they are working as fast as they can to provide you with retroactive cheques and wage adjustments. Currently, the Union is advised that two parts of implementation are under way: People & Culture has sent personalized letters to members’ work emails – if you have not received yours or if the details are incorrect or confusing, please reach out directly to People & Culture at peopleculture@ecomm911.ca for clarification. Payroll is currently working on calculating retroactive payments. We have been advised that members should ignore any changes in Dayforce in the short term while the changes are being made as the information may not initially be accurate. If there are questions about retroactive payments or pay stubs once they are delivered please contact the Payroll Team at PayrollTeam@ecomm911.ca. We have been attempting to create a timeline for when parts of the implementation are going to happen but due to the complexity of the work under way the information we have been receiving from management has been in a state of flux and has been subject to change. We would like to extend our thanks to all of our members who are working hard with limited resources to process these payments as quickly and accurately as possible. This is a significant undertaking and your hard work to implement this does not go unnoticed. In solidarity, Donald Grant President |
Please note: In the ratification information sent to members, there is a minor correction to the following slide. PG 20 Step 1 in the new pay grid is correctly calculated at $34.77 and PG 20 Step 2 is correctly calculated at $36.22. If your letters reflect these other rates they are the correct rates. |
