CUPE Local 8911 – Emergency Communications Professionals of BC is hosting a General Membership Meeting on July 16th, 2024 at 8:00 pm via Zoom.
You’ll notice that included on this agenda is a notice of motion for either the same or similar bylaw resolutions that were voted on at the last general meeting. Unfortunately, due to a technical error, an email was not sent that was supposed to give the necessary notice (60 days in writing or 7 days at a previous membership meeting) to propose changes to bylaws. We are giving notice of motion of these bylaw changes at the July 16 meeting; the motion will then be voted on at the following general membership meeting.
At the end of the meeting, we will be giving an overview of the current state of the employer’s attempts at changing sick call-in procedures, Short Term Illness and Injury Plan, Attendance Support Policy/Program, and the steps the Union is taking to protect members’ rights, privacy, and negotiated benefits under the Collective Agreement.
Agenda for the General Membership Meeting is as follows:

2. Roll call of officers
