In Memory of Deneen MacInnes

Executive Board Update

In Memory of Deneen MacInnes

Dear Members,

It is with deep regret and sadness that we inform the membership of the passing of Deneen MacInnes after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  Deneen was a proud member of our Fire Dispatch team working as a Fire Dispatcher.

Flags will be lowered to half mast at E-Comm in respect.

Funeral and ceremony arrangements will be communicated once we are made aware of it.

We ask for compassion and understanding for her family and friends as they grieve. Grief is a deeply personal journey and we take this time to remind everyone of the psychological resources available to us:

  • Regular part-time and full-time employees have $4,000 of extended mental health coverage per year through their benefit plan
  • Auxiliary employees have up to six appointments with the trauma-informed mental health providers listed on E-Connect (linked below)
  • All E-Comm employees and their families have access to Homewood Health 1-800-663-1142

In Solidarity,

Margaret Pereira
