Attention Pacific Blue Cross Members:
Thank you to all the Pacific Blue Cross members who have already voted in the PBC board of director election. We have just been advised that the election will be redone at a later-to-be-determined date. We will be ready when voting opens again. Please see the message from Pacific Blue Cross below.
As a valued member of Pacific Blue Cross, we want to provide an important update regarding the upcoming 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Directors Election. Pacific Blue Cross is committed to abiding by its Bylaws as well as the Societies Act, which is the governance framework for all not-for-profit societies in British Columbia.
Pacific Blue Cross takes great pride in the integrity of its AGM, and all associated processes. However, upon review, it has been identified that a human error resulted in a deficiency in the distribution of both our member notice of the 2024 Pacific Blue Cross AGM and with voting credentials related to the Directors Election process.
To ensure the integrity of the election process, Pacific Blue Cross will be postponing the upcoming AGM, originally scheduled for June 19, 2024, to a later date, yet to be determined. This includes all associated processes, including the Directors Election. Please look out for a separate communication with the updated announcement for the rescheduled 2024 AGM.
Pacific Blue Cross would like to thank all members who took the time to vote. We apologize for the inconvenience and request that you recast your vote once the AGM has been rescheduled.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to uphold good governance and commitment to our members.
Please stand by for further information and updates on when voting will open again. If there are any questions the Union may be able to answer please reach out to us at executive@ecpbc.ca otherwise we will be in touch again on this campaign once voting is set to open again.
In solidarity,
Donald Grant
President
