Reminder – 2022 Regional nominations

Nominations for Regional Union positions close tomorrow February 7, 2022 at the Regional meetings. Please register now to attend a Regional Meeting and see what positions are up for nomination below:
 
Lower Mainland Region – Meeting February 7 @ 8pm:
Register for the LMD meeting HERE
  • One (1) Regional Vice-President (1-year term)
  • Six (6) Occupational Health and Safety Representatives (1-year term)
  • Fifteen (15) Regional Stewards (1-year term)
  • One (1) Bylaw Committee Member (1-year term)
Vancouver Island Region – Meeting February 7 @ 7pm:
Register for the ECVI meeting HERE
  • One (1) Regional Vice-President (1-year term)
  • Three (3) Occupational Health and Safety Representatives (1-year term)
  • Ten (10) Regional Stewards (1-year term)
  • One (1) Bylaw Committee Member (1-year term)
How to Submit a Nomination:
To submit a nomination, log in to your account at ecpbc.ca, click on the Election Page on the top menu, then click on the “submit a nomination” button.
Once you nominate someone, they must accept in order to be a valid nomination. Nominees will be contacted by email and can accept in advance of or at the Regional meetings, at which time all valid nomination acceptances will be announced. When the nominations period at this membership meeting closes, there will be no further opportunities to accept a nomination.

Union Regional Elections
Elections will open February 14, 2022 at 8:00pm and close February 21, 2022 at 8:00pm.
In any election in which the number of eligible nominees is equal to or less than the number of available positions, each eligible candidate shall be declared “Elected by Acclamation” and no voting will be conducted for those positions.
