Re: Action Needed: Sick Leave, STIIP, and Attendance Management
We are currently preparing for mediation and arbitration in relation to the Attendance Management Program/Policy that the employer implemented in April 2024 and how it has been administering Sick Leave/STIIP. We are asking for your urgent response by filling out the survey below or email response by TUESDAY, September 17, 2024.
We are seeking information from members. If you answer YES to any of the following questions, we want to hear from you:
Have you been subjected to additional questioning when calling in sick?
Have you been called into a meeting with management where the focus is attendance/use of sick leave?
Have you been subject to a “wellness check-in” initiated by people and culture when calling in sick?
Have you been denied Sick Leave or STIIP?
Do you have any information you would like to provide the Union about a problematic experience with the Employer’s Attendance Management Program/Policy or Sick Leave / STIIP?
If you answer “YES” to any of the above questions, we want to hear from you. You can provide this information to the Union by filling out the following survey or by contacting Margaret Pereira directly at margaret.pereira@ecpbc.ca or grievance@ecpbc.ca
