Last summer, you were asked to participate in our survey about workload and health and safety in the workplace. The results clearly demonstrated that staffing and workload issues, poor management, and inadequate mental health supports threaten the delivery of emergency services across British Columbia. At the time we believed that we were experiencing an extreme “low point” caused by unexpected and previously unseen EHS wait times, but staffing and morale have continued to deteriorate since then.https://survey-sondage.cupe.ca/index.php/923966?lang=enWe’ve prepared a short follow-up survey to find out more about the experience of our membership since the summer survey. Your answers will help our continued advocacy for better working conditions by giving us some quantifiable and qualitative data on the employee experience. Just a few minutes of your time can make a big difference! The survey is available here:
- It takes approximately 5 minutes to complete, and you can save your progress if you’re not able to complete it all in one go.
- The results of this survey will be used to identify priority issues and will support us in advocating to the employer and the other stakeholders to take action to improve working conditions urgently.
- The survey results will be shared with the membership by newsletter and at the General Membership meeting which is scheduled to be held on February 21, 2022, from 8 pm to 10 pm.
- Your personal responses will be confidential, and any personal identifiers anonymized.
